New 2026 Honda NSX MPG, Reviews, Colors

New 2026 Honda NSX MPG, Reviews, Colors  –  The Honda NSX is one of the most famous modern supercars, and the Japanese carmaker has, at long last, released a revised model of the iconic sports car. This follows a 15-year hiatus from the first mid-engined beauty. The latest NSX Premium (hybrid) boasts a total power output of 427kW, thanks to its 373kW twin-turbo V6 engine mounted midships and three 54kW electric motors. It cost $391,930 to purchase this hybrid model. Carbon brake rotors are only one example of the many carbon fiber components found throughout this vehicle.  New 2026 Honda NSX MPG

Exterior and Interior

Without a question, the NSX is a pleasant and easy-to-use everyday vehicle that almost everyone can utilize. The daily supercar tag is spot on, and this car delivers. However, the inside falls short of the luxurious atmosphere and high-end features one would expect from an NSX, much less one that aims to rival the best that Germany and England have to offer. Our test vehicle came standard with all of the available options, including a faux-suede headliner, leather and faux-suede seats, and a carbon fiber-trimmed steering wheel.  New 2026 Honda NSX MPGNew 2026 Honda NSX Interior

The team’s opinions on the flamboyant red leather were divided; some thought it was juvenile and showy, while others thought it was beautiful. Greater thigh support is something we’d like to see, and we think drivers who are really into their driving would also like more side bolstering. Regardless, the chairs are cute. Considering the NSX is marketed as the everyday supercar, it is surprising that the inside storage compartments are not especially roomy. Transporting your Haagen-Dazs may be a bit of a challenge because its trunk is just behind the engine. The fact that the trunk could only fit one of our carry-on bags was icing on the cake.

New 2026 Honda NSX Specs

Included as standard equipment is an entertainment system with an integrated navigation system and a 7.0-inch touchscreen. A nine-speaker ELS Studio audio receiver is linked to this system. The touchscreen system, like other parts of the car, is based on cheaper Hondas and NSXs, and we have the same complaints about it as we have about the rest of the components. Already, the system’s user interface seems antiquated, and we found that the menu structure was confusing. Its lack of superfluous buttons and its touch-sensitive volume slider, which is difficult to use and makes it hard to make accurate changes, add another layer of complexity to the problem.  New 2026 Honda NSX MPGNew 2026 Honda NSX MPG

Engine and Performance

You can rest assured that the NSX Type S will satisfy your demand for speed, but it can’t compare to the likes of the McLaren 570S or the Audi R8. During our testing, it reached incredibly rapid acceleration, going from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. However, it has an advantage over its rivals in one important respect: discretion—because its Quiet mode is exclusive to electric mode. A combination of the V-6 engine, the electric motor, and the nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission powers the back wheels. The NSX has all-wheel drive because of its front-wheel drive system, which consists of two extra electric motors that operate separately.  New 2026 Honda NSX MPGNew 2026 Honda NSX Engine

While the steering is light and precise in Sport and Quiet modes, it’s also rather delicate to the touch. Our best guess is that this is an effort to downplay the NSX’s perceived lack of everyday maneuverability. And yet, for a performance-oriented vehicle, that setup doesn’t feel right. By shifting to Sport Plus or Track, the electric power steering system can add extra weight to the steering. The car responds intelligently to the tiniest of driver inputs and has pinpoint steering accuracy in every environment.

New 2026 Honda NSX Fuel Economy

When compared to vehicles powered only by gasoline, hybrids like the NSX achieve better fuel economy in metropolitan traffic jams. An impressive 21 MPG in city driving, which is 7 MPG more than the Audi R8 V-10, according to the EPA. While the NSX gets 22 mpg on the interstate, the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S gets 28 mpg, which is better than the NSX’s 21 mpg in the city. Our highway fuel-economy test showed that the NSX got a reasonable 23 mpg, which was better than its EPA figure but worse than its non-hybrid rivals.  New 2026 Honda NSX MPG

New 2026 Honda NSX Safety Features

A comprehensive airbag system is standard on the NSX, providing sufficient protection, although purchasers who are worried about their safety may be put off by the lack of driver aid technology. To learn more about the outcomes of the crashes tested on the NSX in the US, you may visit the websites of the IIHS and the NHTSA. Key components of a safe environment include:

  • Front and rear parking sensors that are considered standard. New 2026 Honda NSX MPG

New 2026 Honda NSX Price and Release Date

The basic model of the 2026 Honda NSX starts at $171,495. There is just one model in the NSX range that can be tailored to your preferences as there aren’t other trim levels available. Please select between the Indy Yellow or the Thermal Orange; however, there may be additional costs associated with any color. We are big supporters of bold hues. Ebony, Red, and Orchid are the available interior color schemes; you are free to pick whatever color you like; no further charges will apply. With the option to choose between silver, red, black, or orange calipers, carbon-ceramic brake rotors are a sensible investment for your NSX if you want to take it to the track. The added expenditure is worth it, though.  New 2026 Honda NSX MPG
