New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Interior, Dimensions, MSRP  –  In addition to making significant changes to the midsize sedan and its marketing strategy, the 2026 Honda Accord Coupe has undergone a complete redesign. These changes are the outcome of the transformation indicated before. The options have been narrowed down to three separate trim levels; the one I examined, the entry-level EX, is the only one that needs fuel to run.

Considering that most buyers would go for more expensive trim levels, it seems like Honda is banking on hybrids making up half of the Accord selling figures. A hybrid design is seen in both the Sport and the Touring. Particulars: the gas-powered 2026 Accord starts at $38,780 (not including the non-negotiable delivery fee of $1,780). Before taxes were deducted, the total price reached $39,080, thanks to the $300 coat of Platinum White Pearl paint that was applied on my tester.  New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Interior In

Exterior and Interior

Accord EX models include a plethora of standard features and amenities, such as 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a sunroof, heated cloth seats, power driver’s seat, remote starter, dual-zone climate control, and a seven-inch center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.  New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe InteriorNew 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Interior

This is the entry-level trim, so if you’re looking for more amenities, you’ll have to go up to a hybrid model. This is because there is no way to improve the standard trim. Within this group of features you’ll find features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless phone connectivity, heated leather upholstery, a head-up display, an auto-dimming mirror, a wireless charger, rain-sensing wipers, heated steering wheel, and more. For 2026, the Honda Accord gets a new feature called Google Built-In. It’s exclusive to the Touring grade level, though.

The Honda Accord EX may be an unassuming vehicle, but that’s also one of its selling points: it’s easy to get the hang of driving. The dual-zone temperature control system is operated by a combination of knobs and buttons. The touchscreen interface is simple and intuitive, with physical buttons that open menus and knobs that regulate volume and tuning. The controls on the steering wheel are also clear and easy to understand. The car’s doors open to a surprising amount of room, and getting in and out is a delight. Plus, it has the highest possible rating from the IIHS for how easy it is to attach the child-seat tether anchors.  New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe InteriorNew 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Exterior

Engine and Performance

The Honda Accord EX comes standard with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that can crank out 192 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. A manual transmission is paired with this engine. Attached to this internal combustion engine is a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which is an automated gearbox. The acceleration isn’t exactly blazing quick, but it’s more than enough to zip through traffic and pass other cars with ease on the interstate. Having it as a constant buddy while driving is a great idea. The CVT is not only effective at what it does, but it also lacks that rubbery sensation. When you’re not using the engine—for example, waiting for a light to turn green—it may be turned off using a technology called ignition stop-start. When you release your foot from the brake pedal, it quickly starts running again. The engine is able to perform its job thanks to this feature. If you’d rather not have it running, that’s your decision, but it helps reduce pollution and might reduce gas use.  New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe InteriorNew 2025 Honda Accord Coupe Engine

New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Fuel Economy

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) reports that the Accord EX gets 8.1 liters/100 kilometres in city driving, 6.4 liters/100 kilometres on the highway, and 7.3 liters/100 kilometres in a mixed-use scenario. During the week that I had it, I used an average of eight gallons for every hundred kilometers driven. The engine needs fuel with an octane level of 87 for it to work.  New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Interior

However, compared to the car’s own rating, the gasoline efficiency of the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines found in the Hyundai Sonata (7.4 vs. 7.7 mpg) is much lower. With an impressive 5.3 liters per hundred kilometers when driven in mixed mode, the hybrid Accord truly rivals its competitors in this area. According to NRCan, opting for the hybrid Accord model over the regular one would result in a $500 reduction in yearly fuel expenses.

New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Safety Features

The new Honda Accord had not been subjected to crash testing by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as of the publication of this article. It was the intention of these testing to ascertain the vehicle’s responsiveness to crashes. However, the non-profit Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has already awarded it the highest attainable rating, Top Safety Pick+, for its commitment to road safety.  New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Interior

In addition to the mandatory rearview camera for all new cars, all trim levels come standard with a suite of driver-assistance safety technologies. Included in this category are technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, emergency front braking, and traffic sign recognition.

New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Price and Release Date

The base price of an Accord EX starts at $38,780. Similar vehicles, like the Toyota Camry, have far lower starting prices—$32,450 for the standard model and $35,090 for an upgraded version that has more features than the Accord—so this pricing is very steep. The Hyundai Sonata has more standard features and a lower price tag than the $31,124 Honda Accord. Prices for the Honda Accord range from $42,780 for the Sport to $46,280 for the Touring. Every single quote factored in deliveries.   New 2026 Honda Accord Coupe Interior

While Honda’s choice to limit the non-hybrid powertrain to the base trim may come across as controlling to some, the extra $4,000 needed for the Sport upgrade could be a good investment for many drivers thanks to its improved conveniences and fuel efficiency. If you’re determined to stick to cars that receive their power from gasoline alone, you might want to check out your competition. Despite the fact that the 2026 Honda Accord Coupe is an attractive and comfy vehicle, there are plenty of instances when you may get the same or even more for less money.
